Windows and Mirrors

I have recently been working on a series of close-up oil paintings of human eyes, animal eyes, and "eyes of consciousness". I find that gazing into another's eyes is like gazing into a whole world, yet at the same time there is a self-recognition as our awareness directly meets another's awareness.With each eye, there is a different ineffable energy or transmission that can be sensed. This aspect isn't quite able to be defined, but I have come as close as I could with the titles.  These paintings are meditative for me and meant to be meditative for the viewer. I am now transitioning to painting more overtly meditative paintings with my "third eyes". These paintings are meant to still the mind.
